FAQs and Additional Information
Do I need to be fit / able-bodied / experienced to participate?
We welcome folks of all fitness levels and all types of bodies! Beginners are welcome! Acro is a community-based activity, where we all want to see each other grow stronger and experience success. We use spotting and appropriate progressions to make the class safe.

What should I wear?
Athletic clothing such as leggings, tank top, or t-shirt. Try to avoid very slippery fabrics. Restrooms and changing facilities are available.

How can I connect with the community?
Our community is called Acro Yoga Houston! We can be found on Facebook and Instagram. In addition to the weekly class (a structured learning environment) we also have weekly jams (where you can practice what you learn in class!) Check the Facebook page for the latest on jam timing and location.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging
We aim to create a welcoming, safe, and inclusive community for folks of every age (over 18), disability, ethnicity, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, neurodivergence, race, religion, sexual orientation, and socio-economic status.
Consent Culture
- The foundation of our practice is fully-informed, enthusiastic, on-going consent.
- We will teach and model clear communication, including risk assessment, spotting techniques, planned entrances and exits.
- Anyone may say, "Down!" at any time so that the flier(s) will be brought safely and immediately to the ground.
- You may choose who you want to work with in class, and you may always opt out of any offering at any time for any reason.
- Sexual or romantic advances of any kind are not acceptable in this class space.
Photos
You are welcome to take photos in a non-disruptive manner, but please ask everyone who would be in your photo for their consent *in advance*. Videos of the teaching demonstrations are allowed.
